Drumheller Endodontics

Endodontics is the area of dentistry that deals with issues affectiing the interior of your teeth, the tissue and nerves commonly referred to as the “pulp”. When the pulp is compromised, it leads to decay and tooth loss.
If a cavity goes untreated, eventually the decay, and the bacteria that goes along with it, advances into the interior of the tooth and affects the pulp. The pulp becomes infected, causing pain and necessitating treatment in order to save the tooth. At this point, the dentist will recommend a root canal, the most common endodontic procedure. The root canal removes the infected pulp, disinfects the interior of the tooth, and then fills it. To ensure the integrity of the tooth, a crown is normally recommended.
Root canals used to be synonymous with a painful dental visit, but modern advances in dental techniques and pain relief have made them as easy and manageable as a filling! We will always give you our best in compassionate, professional care.
